An easy and delicious marinade to prepare tender and juicy grilled tuna steaks.
Ingredients

- ⅓ cup olive oil
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped cilantro
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon cumin
- ½ teaspoon coarsely cracked black pepper
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- Juice of half a lemon (about 2 tablespoons)
Instructions
- Whisk together the olive oil, honey, minced garlic, cilantro, parsley, salt, cumin, cracked black pepper, smoked paprika, and lemon juice until fully blended.
- Place the tuna steaks in a Ziploc bag or shallow dish, and pour the marinade over the steaks, ensuring they are well-coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat your grill, skillet, or broiler to medium-high heat.
- Grill the steaks for about 6-8 minutes on each side, turning only once, until the center temperature reaches 90-95°F for medium-rare.
- Let the tuna rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For varying flavors, experiment with different herbs or add a splash of soy sauce.
