Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine strawberries, blueberries, sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl. Toss gently to coat.
  3. Roll out the pie crust on a clean surface and cut it into rounds, about 6 inches in diameter.
  4. Spoon a generous amount of the berry mixture onto the center of each crust round, leaving a good border around the edges.
  5. Fold the edges of the crust over the berries, creating a charming envelope around the filling.
  6. Place the galettes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the berries are bubbling.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
