Description
A flavorful dish of Filipino chicken adobo wings marinated in a savory, tangy sauce, perfect for gatherings and weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs chicken wings
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar (optional)
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Marinate the wings: In a large bowl, mix together soy sauce, vinegar, minced garlic, bay leaf, black pepper, and brown sugar (if using). Add chicken wings, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes, preferably overnight.
- Preheat your cooking device: If using an air fryer, set it to 360°F (180°C); if grilling, prepare your grill to medium heat.
- Prepare the wings: Once marinated, take the wings out of the mixture and pat them dry with a paper towel.
- Cook: For air frying, arrange wings in a single layer and cook for about 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through. If grilling, cook for 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until fully cooked.
- Season with salt to taste and serve warm.
Notes
For a tropical twist, add pineapple juice or for heat, incorporate chili flakes. Use skinless chicken breasts or tofu for a healthier alternative.
