Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl. Set this mixture aside.
- Cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large bowl until smooth.
- Add the vanilla extract and the egg to the mixture, blending until fully combined.
- Fold the dry ingredient mixture into the wet ingredients, stirring just until combined—don’t overmix!
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips, ensuring they’re evenly distributed.
- Pour the cookie dough into a cast iron skillet, spreading it evenly across the bottom.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges turn golden brown and the center is set.
- Serve the cookie warm, ideally topped with a scoop of ice cream.

Store leftovers at room temperature for up to 3 days, or freeze individual slices for longer preservation.
