- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp nutmeg
- ½ tsp ginger
- 2 large eggs
- ¼ cup maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2 tbsp maple syrup (for glaze)
- 1–2 tbsp milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your donut pan.
- Mix together the pumpkin puree, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla in a large bowl until well combined.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and spices in another bowl.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients, stirring until just mixed. Don’t over-mix!
- Spoon the batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity about ¾ full.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let them cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Mix powdered sugar, maple syrup, and a splash of milk for the glaze; drizzle over cooled donuts when ready to serve.
Notes
Serve fresh for the best taste. Can be stored for up to 2 days in an airtight container or frozen for later.
