- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup almond milk (or any milk of your choice)
- 4 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons almond extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking sheet.
- Cream together the softened butter and sugar until it becomes light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the almond extract.
- Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the butter mixture, alternating with almond milk, starting and finishing with the flour mixture.
- Pour the batter into the greased baking sheet and smooth the top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool before dusting with powdered sugar, if desired.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days. For longer storage, freeze tightly wrapped slices.
