Description

Delicious yogurt marinated chicken kebabs infused with rich spices, perfect for summer barbecues or family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Skewers (wooden or metal)

Instructions

  1. Mix the Marinade: In a bowl, combine yogurt, minced garlic, olive oil, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Stir until well mixed.
  2. Marinate the Chicken: Add the cubed chicken to the marinade. Toss to coat each piece thoroughly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight for the best results.
  3. Preheat Your Cooking Method: If grilling, heat your grill to medium. For the oven, preheat to 400°F (200°C). Soak wooden skewers in water for about 30 minutes to prevent burning!
  4. Skewer the Chicken: Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the skewers, leaving space between each piece for even cooking.
  5. Cook the Kebabs: Grill over medium heat, turning occasionally, for about 10-15 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked. If using the oven, bake on a baking sheet for 20-25 minutes.
  6. Serve Hot: Enjoy these kebabs right off the skewers with your favorite sides!

Notes

For a thicker marinade, substitute Greek yogurt or use chicken thighs for added juiciness. For leftovers, store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
