Description

A healthier twist on traditional burgers, these white bean burgers are packed with flavor and nutrients, making them perfect for busy weeknights or gatherings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (15 oz) cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh herbs (such as parsley or cilantro)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)
  • Buns and toppings of your choice (such as lettuce, tomato, avocado, and your favorite sauces)

Instructions

  1. Mash the cannellini beans in a bowl using a fork until mostly smooth with some chunks remaining.
  2. Stir in the panko breadcrumbs, chopped herbs, garlic powder, onion powder, and a generous seasoning of salt and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into patties of your desired size.
  4. Chill the patties in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to help them hold their shape.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  6. Cook the patties for approximately 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Serve the burgers on toasted buns with your favorite toppings and sauces.

Notes

Great with various toppings like avocado and tangy aioli. Freezes well for meal prep!
