Description

A delightful dessert featuring three distinct layers: creamy custard, sponge-like cake, and rich pudding-like base, perfect for impressing guests at gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted and cooled
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease your baking dish with butter.
  2. Whisk together the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Stir in the melted butter and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour in the milk slowly, mixing to combine.
  5. Sift in the flour and salt, and gently mix until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish; it will be quite runny.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
  8. Let it cool for at least an hour before slicing.

Notes

Serve with powdered sugar, fresh berries, or whipped cream for a delightful touch.
