Ingredients
Scale
- 1.3 pounds ground beef
- ¼ cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp dried onion
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 yellow onion (diced)
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning
- 3 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 ½ cups heavy cream
- 3 cups spinach
- ½ cup sun-dried tomatoes (drained, chopped)
- ¾ cup grated Parmesan
Instructions
- Combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, dried onion, salt, and black pepper in a large bowl. Mix gently with your hands until just combined.
- Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a ball.
- Heat the olive oil and butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add the beef balls and flatten them to about ¾ inch thick. Sear each side for about 5 minutes until golden brown, then remove from the skillet.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, and tomato paste, mixing thoroughly.
- Pour in the heavy cream and add the spinach, stirring until wilted. Incorporate the sun-dried tomatoes and Parmesan cheese, allowing the sauce to simmer.
- Return the hamburger steaks to the skillet and simmer in the sauce for an additional 5 minutes. Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
