Description

Juicy beef patties smothered in a creamy, garlicky sauce with spinach and sun-dried tomatoes, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.3 pounds ground beef
  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp dried onion
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 yellow onion (diced)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • 3 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • 3 cups spinach
  • ½ cup sun-dried tomatoes (drained, chopped)
  • ¾ cup grated Parmesan

Instructions

  1. Combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, dried onion, salt, and black pepper in a large bowl. Mix gently with your hands until just combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a ball.
  3. Heat the olive oil and butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add the beef balls and flatten them to about ¾ inch thick. Sear each side for about 5 minutes until golden brown, then remove from the skillet.
  4. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Stir in salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, and tomato paste, mixing thoroughly.
  6. Pour in the heavy cream and add the spinach, stirring until wilted. Incorporate the sun-dried tomatoes and Parmesan cheese, allowing the sauce to simmer.
  7. Return the hamburger steaks to the skillet and simmer in the sauce for an additional 5 minutes. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Use freshly grated Parmesan for better flavor and consider adding fresh herbs for an aromatic touch.
