Description

A quick and vibrant Tofu Stir Fry packed with protein from tofu and a plethora of vitamins from mixed vegetables.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 block of firm tofu, pressed and cubed
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (bell peppers, broccoli, and carrots)
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Toss in the cubed tofu, allowing it to sauté until it turns a lovely golden brown.
  3. Once browned, remove the tofu from the pan and set it aside.
  4. Add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for about a minute.
  5. Mix in the mixed vegetables and stir-fry them until they are tender-crisp, about 3-5 minutes.
  6. Return the sautéed tofu to the pan, pour in the soy sauce and sesame oil, and stir well.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve hot over cooked rice or noodles.

Notes

For best results, press tofu before cooking to achieve a crispy texture. Experiment with vegetables and sauces for your personal touch.
