Description

A delightful toasted garlic bread topped with melty mozzarella and Parmesan, perfect as a side or snack.


Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley (with extra for finishing)
  • 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3 garlic cloves, finely minced
  • ½ teaspoon of dried oregano (optional)
  • ½ cup (1 stick) of unsalted butter, brought to room temperature
  • A pinch of salt
  • ½ cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large loaf of Italian or French bread, halved lengthwise

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare a baking tray by lining it with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  3. Make the garlic butter by blending softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, oregano (if using), and salt until smooth.
  4. Assemble the bread halves cut-side up on the prepared tray and generously spread the garlic butter mixture over each half.
  5. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the buttered bread and top with grated Parmesan.
  6. Bake in the oven for about 12 to 15 minutes until bubbly and melted.
  7. Broil for 1 to 2 minutes for a golden finish, keeping an eye to avoid burning.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with extra parsley if desired.
