Ingredients

- 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley (with extra for finishing)
- 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese
- 3 garlic cloves, finely minced
- ½ teaspoon of dried oregano (optional)
- ½ cup (1 stick) of unsalted butter, brought to room temperature
- A pinch of salt
- ½ cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large loaf of Italian or French bread, halved lengthwise
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare a baking tray by lining it with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
- Make the garlic butter by blending softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, oregano (if using), and salt until smooth.
- Assemble the bread halves cut-side up on the prepared tray and generously spread the garlic butter mixture over each half.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the buttered bread and top with grated Parmesan.
- Bake in the oven for about 12 to 15 minutes until bubbly and melted.
- Broil for 1 to 2 minutes for a golden finish, keeping an eye to avoid burning.
- Serve hot, garnished with extra parsley if desired.
