Description
A hearty and uncomplicated skillet recipe featuring tender chicken in a rich buttery sauce, perfect for busy families and impressing guests.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 2 tsp honey
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Combine the butter, honey, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper in a small mixing bowl. Mix until smooth and set aside.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chicken breasts. Cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side until golden and fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Pour the chicken broth into the same skillet to deglaze the pan, scraping up any flavorful bits stuck on the bottom.
- Stir in the butter mixture and cook until everything is smooth.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, ensuring it’s well coated with the sauce. Simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow it to soak up the flavors.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
Serve over rice or mashed potatoes. Pairs well with steamed veggies or crusty bread for dipping.
