- 1 loaf of bread (French or Italian)
- 2 cups shredded cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, or a combination)
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried herbs (such as oregano or Italian seasoning)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Carefully slice the loaf of bread in half lengthwise and scoop out some of the insides.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and dried herbs; cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Brush the garlic butter mixture evenly over the insides of the bread halves.
- Generously fill the hollowed-out bread with shredded cheese.
- Place the stuffed bread on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven, slice into rolls, and serve warm.
Notes
Best enjoyed fresh out of the oven. Pair with marinara sauce or a fresh garden salad.
