Description
A luxurious and flavorful steak dish smothered in a creamy garlic sauce, perfect for special occasions or hearty weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 steaks (sirloin or ribeye)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat the oil: In a skillet over medium-high heat, add the olive oil.
- Season the steaks: Generously season both sides of the steaks with salt and pepper.
- Cook the steaks: Once the oil is hot, add the steaks. Sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare. When done, remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a plate.
- Sauté the garlic: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant.
- Simmer with broth: Pour in the beef broth and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Make it creamy: Stir in the heavy cream. Bring it to a gentle boil, then reduce to a simmer to thicken the sauce.
- Serve it all together: Slice the rested steak and serve it topped with the garlic cream sauce and a sprinkle of fresh parsley.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stove. Consider using fresh garlic for best flavor.
