Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Colored sugar or sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and powdered sugar together until smooth and creamy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the butter mixture until just blended.
  6. Roll the dough into small balls and place them onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  7. Flatten each ball slightly and top with colored sugar or sprinkles.
  8. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the edges turn golden brown.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes
