- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups peeled and diced pears
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger in a large bowl.
- Mix the melted butter, eggs, and milk in a separate bowl until well combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix. Fold in the diced pears.
- Fill each muffin cup about two-thirds full with the batter.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the muffins to cool in the tin for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Feel free to substitute pears with apples or bananas for a different flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
