Description

Savory meatballs drenched in a sweet and tangy pineapple barbecue sauce, perfect for quick family dinners or entertaining.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground meat (beef, turkey, or pork)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup pineapple barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup diced pineapples (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until everything is evenly incorporated.
  2. Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. Place the meatballs in the slow cooker.
  4. Pour the pineapple barbecue sauce and soy sauce over the meatballs, ensuring they are well coated. If you’re using diced pineapples, sprinkle them in now.
  5. Stir gently to combine the ingredients without breaking the meatballs.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, until the meatballs are cooked through and tender.
  7. Serve warm as an appetizer or main dish.

Notes

For a healthier option, consider using ground chicken or turkey and serve with quinoa. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
