- 1 lb raw shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 8 oz fettuccine or your pasta of choice
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
- Salt and pepper for seasoning
- Parsley (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Cook your pasta in a pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sautรฉ for about a minute until fragrant.
- Add the raw shrimp to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook until the shrimp are pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
- Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Let it simmer for a couple of minutes until thickened slightly.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and fully incorporated into the sauce.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, mixing everything together until the pasta is fully coated in the sauce.
- Serve immediately, garnishing with chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
Make sure not to overcook the shrimp; they should be tender and juicy, not rubbery. For a hint of spice, add a pinch of red pepper flakes when sautรฉing the garlic.
