Description

A delightful brioche loaf with a tangy raspberry jam swirl, perfect for breakfast or snacking.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • 3/4 cup milk, warmed (about 110°F)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup raspberry jam

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the warmed milk and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Combine the flour, sugar, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Add the yeast mixture and melted butter. Mix, then incorporate the eggs one at a time until you form a soft dough.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes, until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the kneaded dough into a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise until double in size, roughly 60-90 minutes.
  6. Roll the dough out into a rectangle. Spread the raspberry jam evenly over the surface.
  7. Roll the dough tightly into a loaf shape, pinching the seams to seal.
  8. Place the loaf in a greased loaf pan and let it rise again until puffy, about 30-45 minutes.
  9. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is a beautiful golden brown.
  11. Cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Slice and enjoy warm or toasted with butter.
