Description
Delightful mini cherry pies encased in flaky puff pastry, perfect for quick desserts and gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup cherry pie filling (homemade or store-bought)
- 1 package puff pastry sheets (thawed, if frozen)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon sugar (for sprinkling)
- Vanilla ice cream (optional, for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface and cut them into squares (about 3×3 inches).
- Place a spoonful of cherry pie filling in the center of each square.
- Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling and seal them to create little pockets.
- Brush the tops with egg wash and sprinkle with sugar for added sweetness and shine.
- Arrange on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve warm, adding a scoop of vanilla ice cream for extra indulgence if you’d like!
Notes
Thaw puff pastry in the fridge overnight for ease; for a crispy crust, bake on a preheated baking sheet.
