Description

A delightful pumpkin bread pudding that combines creamy custard with hearty bread, perfect for fall gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 16 oz loaf French bread or Texas toast
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 15 oz can pumpkin
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray a 9″x13″ baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Cut your bread into 1″-2″ squares and place them into a large mixing bowl.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, cream, pumpkin puree, eggs, sugars, vanilla, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined.
  4. Pour this rich custard over the bread and stir gently to coat every piece. Let the mixture soak for about 20 minutes.
  5. After soaking, spread the bread mixture into your prepared baking dish. Bake for about 50-60 minutes or until the center is set.
  6. Once done, cut into squares and serve warm.

Notes
