Description

Experience the sweet and spicy flavors of these Pineapple Cowboy Candy Chicken Wings, marinated and baked for a crispy finish.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs chicken wings
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 jalapeños, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for greasing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Place them in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Combine pineapple juice, brown sugar, chopped jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, soy sauce, and black pepper in a separate bowl. Whisk until the brown sugar dissolves.
  4. Pour the marinade over the chicken wings and toss to coat evenly. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours.
  5. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top, lightly greased with olive oil.
  6. Remove the wings from the marinade and place them on the wire rack. Reserve the marinade for glazing.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and crispy, brushing with reserved marinade halfway through.
  8. Broil for the last 3-5 minutes for extra crispiness.
  9. Let wings rest for a few minutes before serving, garnished with additional chopped jalapeños if desired.
