Description

A delightful combination of chewy brownie and creamy peanut butter cookie dough, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Make the brownie batter: In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth. Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt, stirring until fully incorporated. Set aside.
  2. Make the peanut butter cookie dough: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar for 2โ€“3 minutes until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this to the wet ingredients, stirring until fully combined.
  3. Combine and swirl: Take about 1 tablespoon of peanut butter cookie dough and pair it with 1/2 tablespoon of brownie batter. Gently press them together and roll into a ball, careful not to overmix. Place the dough balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  4. Bake to perfection: Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Bake the cookies for 10โ€“12 minutes, watching for lightly golden edges while the centers remain soft. Avoid overbaking.
  5. Cool and serve: Let the cookies cool on the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.

Notes

For added variation, consider adding chocolate chips to the dough or exploring different nut butters.
