Description

Delightful Peach Buttermilk Biscuits topped with a luscious vanilla glaze, perfect for breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup diced peaches (fresh or canned)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  3. Cut the cold butter into the flour mixture using a pastry cutter or your fingers until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Slowly stir in the buttermilk until the mixture is just combined. Be careful not to overmix!
  5. Gently fold in the diced peaches, ensuring they’re evenly distributed.
  6. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and pat it into a circle about 1 inch thick.
  7. Use a biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, or until they’re golden brown on top.
  9. While the biscuits are baking, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a bowl to create the glaze.
  10. Drizzle the glaze over the warm biscuits right before serving to make them even more irresistible!

Notes

For best results, use cold butter and be gentle when mixing the dough. Experiment with fruits like blueberries for variation.
