- 250g paneer, cubed
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
Instructions
- Heat the butter in a pan over medium heat. When itโs melted, toss in the finely chopped onions and sautรฉ until theyโre golden brown.
- Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and let it cook for about a minute, allowing the aromas to blend.
- Add the pureed tomatoes, chili powder, and salt to the pan. Stir and cook until the oil begins to separate from the mixture.
- Gently add the cubed paneer and cook for a few minutes to soak in those delicious flavors.
- Pour in the heavy cream along with the garam masala, mixing well to ensure an even distribution of flavor.
- Let it simmer for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to deepen.
- Serve your dish garnished with fresh cilantro and enjoy with rice or naan!
Notes
For a vegan option, swap paneer with tofu and use coconut milk instead of heavy cream. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
