- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for a kick)
- 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Juice and zest of 1 lemon
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Sauté the minced garlic and, if using, the red pepper flakes for about one minute until fragrant.
- Combine the pasta with the broth and bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer, stirring occasionally for about 10-12 minutes or until al dente.
- Add the grated Parmesan, lemon juice, and zest. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
