Description

A comforting one-pot meal combining pasta, honey BBQ sauce, and sausage, perfect for busy weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz pasta (penne or fusilli)
  • 1 lb sausage (Italian or your choice)
  • 1 cup honey BBQ sauce
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese (optional, for serving)
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the sausage over medium heat until browned. Remove and set aside.
  2. Add the diced onion and minced garlic; sauté until the onion is translucent.
  3. Toss in the sliced bell peppers and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  4. Stir in the pasta, chicken broth, and honey BBQ sauce until well combined.
  5. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to a gentle simmer.
  6. Cover and let it cook for about 10-12 minutes, or until the pasta is al dente.
  7. Add the cooked sausage back into the pot and stir to combine.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Serve warm, topped with Parmesan cheese and garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Consider adding a fresh green salad or garlic bread on the side for a well-rounded meal.
