Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. Whisk together the oats, flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in the walnuts and chocolate chips gently.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are a lovely golden brown.
  9. Let cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
