Description
A quick and flavorful dish featuring tender ground beef and perfectly cooked linguine, infused with garlic and savory sauces.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
- 10 oz linguine
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- 4 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the linguine according to the package instructions. Once al dente, drain and set aside.
- Heat a splash of oil in a large skillet over medium heat, then add the ground beef. Cook until it’s browned and cooked through, draining any excess fat.
- Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the brown sugar, beef broth, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, ground ginger, ground black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes. Mix well to combine.
- Whisk together the cornstarch and water in a small bowl to create a slurry. Pour this mixture into the skillet and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes or until the sauce thickens.
- Toss the drained linguine into the skillet, ensuring every strand is well coated in the sauce.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and serve hot.
Notes
For a vegetarian twist, replace ground beef with tofu. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator.
