These Mango Butter Bars encapsulate the essence of summer with a buttery, rich base and sweet, tangy mango flavor.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup fresh mango, diced
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish well.
- Combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract in a large mixing bowl. Stir until fully integrated.
- Gradually add the all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder. Mix until the ingredients come together—it’s okay if a few lumps remain!
- Fold in the diced mango, being careful not to crush the fruit.
- Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish, spreading it evenly across the surface.
- Place in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top turns golden brown and is set.
- Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting them into squares.
