Description

A delightful blend of tart and sweet flavors with a buttery graham cracker crust, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cans sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup key lime juice
  • 4 large egg yolks
  • Zest of 2 limes
  • Whipped cream, for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C), and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. Mix together the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar until well incorporated. Press firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  3. Whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, key lime juice, egg yolks, and lime zest until smooth and creamy.
  4. Pour the key lime filling over the crust in the pan.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the filling is set. Let cool.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before slicing.
  7. Serve chilled, topped generously with whipped cream.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free graham crackers. Use fresh key lime juice for the best flavor.
