Description

Deliciously chewy caramel bars with oats, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups Butter (melted)
  • 1 1/2 cups Quick oats
  • 2 1/4 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups Brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Butter (melted)
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons Flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine 1 1/4 cups melted butter, quick oats, 2 1/4 cups flour, and 1 1/2 cups brown sugar in a mixing bowl. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Press half of the mixture firmly into the bottom of a greased baking pan.
  4. Mix together 1/4 cup melted butter, 1 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup milk, 2 teaspoons vanilla extract, and 2 tablespoons flour until smooth in another bowl.
  5. Pour the caramel mixture over the pressed oat layer in the pan.
  6. Crumble the remaining oat mixture on top, spreading evenly.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  8. Let cool before slicing into bars.

Store in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze for up to three months.
