Description

A delightful and simple recipe for homemade strawberry jam, perfect for spreading on toast or using in desserts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds fresh strawberries
  • 4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 packet fruit pectin

Instructions

  1. Wash, hull, and mash the strawberries in a large bowl until you achieve your desired consistency—smooth or chunky, it’s up to you!
  2. In a pot over medium heat, mix the mashed strawberries with lemon juice and fruit pectin.
  3. Stir constantly until the mixture comes to a rolling boil.
  4. Add all the granulated sugar at once, stirring continuously until fully dissolved.
  5. Bring the mixture back to a rolling boil and let it boil for exactly one minute.
  6. Remove the pot from heat and carefully pour the mixture into sterilized jars.
  7. Seal the jars tightly and allow them to cool before storing them in the refrigerator or pantry.

Notes

Store in sterilized jars in a cool, dark place. Once opened, refrigerate and consume within three weeks.
