- 2 pounds fresh strawberries
- 4 cups granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 packet fruit pectin
Instructions
- Wash, hull, and mash the strawberries in a large bowl until you achieve your desired consistency—smooth or chunky, it’s up to you!
- In a pot over medium heat, mix the mashed strawberries with lemon juice and fruit pectin.
- Stir constantly until the mixture comes to a rolling boil.
- Add all the granulated sugar at once, stirring continuously until fully dissolved.
- Bring the mixture back to a rolling boil and let it boil for exactly one minute.
- Remove the pot from heat and carefully pour the mixture into sterilized jars.
- Seal the jars tightly and allow them to cool before storing them in the refrigerator or pantry.
Notes
Store in sterilized jars in a cool, dark place. Once opened, refrigerate and consume within three weeks.
