Description

A flavorful twist on classic Middle Eastern street food, perfect for weeknight dinners or meal prep.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 cups cooked rice or quinoa
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup cucumber, chopped
  • 1/2 cup tahini sauce
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until it turns translucent, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the ground beef, breaking it into small pieces with a spoon.
  4. Season the mixture with cumin, coriander, smoked paprika, cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Cook until the beef is browned and fully cooked, about 8-10 minutes.
  5. Layer your cooked rice or quinoa in serving bowls, then top with the seasoned beef, diced tomatoes, chopped cucumber, and a drizzle of tahini sauce.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
