- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh mint, chopped
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 1 cucumber, finely grated
- 1 clove garlic, minced (for tzatziki)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, parsley, mint, oregano, egg, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
- Shape the mixture into meatballs about 1 inch in diameter and place them on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the meatballs are cooked through and golden.
- Prepare the tzatziki by mixing yogurt, grated cucumber, garlic, lemon juice, and salt in a smaller bowl until smooth.
- Serve the meatballs hot alongside the cool tzatziki sauce.
Notes
For an extra crispy exterior, broil the meatballs for the last 2-3 minutes of baking. Feel free to substitute breadcrumbs and ground turkey based on dietary preferences.
