Description

Delightful Greek turkey meatballs paired with a refreshing tzatziki sauce, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint, chopped
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 cucumber, finely grated
  • 1 clove garlic, minced (for tzatziki)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, parsley, mint, oregano, egg, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  3. Shape the mixture into meatballs about 1 inch in diameter and place them on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the meatballs are cooked through and golden.
  5. Prepare the tzatziki by mixing yogurt, grated cucumber, garlic, lemon juice, and salt in a smaller bowl until smooth.
  6. Serve the meatballs hot alongside the cool tzatziki sauce.

Notes

For an extra crispy exterior, broil the meatballs for the last 2-3 minutes of baking. Feel free to substitute breadcrumbs and ground turkey based on dietary preferences.
