Description

A colossal, soft, and chewy cookie that brings back childhood memories, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup salted butter (softened to room temperature)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light or dark brown sugar
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 3/4 cup sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and baking soda in a medium bowl. Set aside.
  2. Cream the softened butter in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Add the granulated sugar and brown sugar to the butter, mixing until light and fluffy.
  4. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla and almond extracts.
  5. Gradually mix in the flour mixture until a dough forms.
  6. If using sprinkles, scoop dough, dip the tops in sprinkles, and arrange on a cookie sheet. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to overnight.
  7. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line sheets with parchment paper.
  8. Place the chilled dough balls on sheets, leaving at least 2 inches of space.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden. Cool before transferring to a rack.

Notes
