- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup salted butter (softened to room temperature)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup light or dark brown sugar
- 2 whole eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 3/4 cup sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and baking soda in a medium bowl. Set aside.
- Cream the softened butter in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
- Add the granulated sugar and brown sugar to the butter, mixing until light and fluffy.
- Incorporate the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla and almond extracts.
- Gradually mix in the flour mixture until a dough forms.
- If using sprinkles, scoop dough, dip the tops in sprinkles, and arrange on a cookie sheet. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to overnight.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and line sheets with parchment paper.
- Place the chilled dough balls on sheets, leaving at least 2 inches of space.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden. Cool before transferring to a rack.

Serve warm with milk or ice cream. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
