Description

Delightful crispy pastries filled with jam and topped with a spooky glaze, perfect for Halloween or any festive gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package of pre-made pie crusts
  • 1/2 cup of your favorite jam (strawberry or raspberry)
  • 1 cup of powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of milk
  • Black food coloring (for the glaze)
  • Ghost-shaped cookie cutter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Roll out the pie crusts on a lightly floured surface. Use your ghost-shaped cookie cutter to cut out equal pieces for the top and bottom.
  3. Add the jam: Place about a tablespoon of jam in the center of half of your ghost cutouts.
  4. Seal them: Top with another ghost cutout and use a fork to seal the edges tightly.
  5. Bake: Place the cutouts on a baking sheet and bake for around 15 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
  6. Cool down: Allow the pastries to cool completely.
  7. Make the glaze: In a bowl, mix together the powdered sugar, milk, and a few drops of black food coloring until well combined.
  8. Drizzle the glaze over your cooled pop tarts for that ghostly finish.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days at room temperature or refrigerate for up to a week.
