Description

Crispy fried enoki mushrooms that serve as a delightful appetizer or light snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g enoki mushrooms
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup cold water
  • Oil for frying
  • Dipping sauce of your choice

Instructions

  1. Begin by cleaning the enoki mushrooms gently and trimming the base.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Gradually whisk in the cold water until you achieve a smooth batter.
  4. Heat a generous amount of oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
  5. Dip the enoki mushrooms into the batter, ensuring theyโ€™re well-coated, then carefully place them into the hot oil.
  6. Fry the mushrooms for about 3-4 minutes or until they turn a lovely golden brown and crispy.
  7. Once theyโ€™re ready, remove them and let them drain on paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
  8. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes
