Description

A simple yet delicious Margherita flatbread topped with fresh basil, mozzarella, and rich tomato sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners or casual brunches.


Ingredients

  • Flatbread
  • Tomato sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • Mozzarella cheese (fresh or shredded)
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place the flatbread flat on a baking sheet.
  3. Spread a generous layer of tomato sauce over the surface of the flatbread.
  4. Evenly sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce.
  5. Add fresh basil leaves for extra flavor.
  6. Drizzle with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Slice into pieces and serve warm.

Notes

For added flavor, try sprinkling red pepper flakes or drizzling pesto before serving. This flatbread is also great with a selection of dipping sauces.
