Description

A delightful combination of crispy, golden crust and gooey cheese goodness, perfect for parties or casual snacking.


Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of bread (Italian or French)
  • 1 cup of shredded cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, or a blend)
  • 4 tablespoons of butter, melted
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut the loaf of bread in half lengthwise.
  3. Mix together the melted butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  4. Brush this mixture onto the cut sides of the bread.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over both halves of the bread.
  6. Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Remove the bread from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

For extra crispy crust, place the bread under the broiler for the last minute. Customize with additional toppings like diced tomatoes or olives.
