- 1 loaf of bread (Italian or French)
- 1 cup of shredded cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, or a blend)
- 4 tablespoons of butter, melted
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cut the loaf of bread in half lengthwise.
- Mix together the melted butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Brush this mixture onto the cut sides of the bread.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over both halves of the bread.
- Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove the bread from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
For extra crispy crust, place the bread under the broiler for the last minute. Customize with additional toppings like diced tomatoes or olives.
