Description

Ingredients

  • Chocolate cake (homemade or store-bought)
  • Cherry filling (canned or fresh)
  • Whipped topping (homemade or frozen)
  • Chocolate shavings (optional for garnish)
  • Cherries (optional, for additional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cut the chocolate cake into even cubes.
  2. Layer one third of the cake cubes in the bottom of your trifle dish.
  3. Spoon half of the cherry filling over the cake cubes, spreading it evenly.
  4. Add a layer of whipped topping over the cherry filling.
  5. Repeat the layers, using the remaining cake cubes, cherry filling, and whipped topping.
  6. Finish with a final layer of whipped topping. If desired, sprinkle chocolate shavings on top for an extra touch.
