Instructions
- Cut the chocolate cake into even cubes.
- Layer one third of the cake cubes in the bottom of your trifle dish.
- Spoon half of the cherry filling over the cake cubes, spreading it evenly.
- Add a layer of whipped topping over the cherry filling.
- Repeat the layers, using the remaining cake cubes, cherry filling, and whipped topping.
- Finish with a final layer of whipped topping. If desired, sprinkle chocolate shavings on top for an extra touch.
