Description

Crunchy and tangy dill pickle saltines perfect for snacks or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (about 450 g / 16 oz) saltine crackers
  • ½ cup (120 ml) vegetable oil
  • 1 packet (about 20 g / 0.7 oz) dry dill seasoning mix
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried dill (optional, for extra flavor)
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 160°C (325°F) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place the saltine crackers in a large mixing bowl.
  3. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the vegetable oil, dill seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, dried dill (if using), black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  4. Pour the seasoned oil evenly over the crackers and gently toss them until every cracker is coated.
  5. Spread the crackers in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake them for 15–18 minutes, stirring halfway through, until they become fragrant and are lightly crisp.
  7. Remove from the oven and let them cool completely.

Notes

Serve with ranch dressing or as toppings for salads. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
