  • 1 package (about 20 ounces) refrigerated cheese tortellini
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes (undrained)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil or parsley (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Brown the Italian sausage in a skillet over medium heat until nicely cooked and browned.
  2. Drain excess grease, then transfer the sausage to your crockpot.
  3. Add chicken broth, diced tomatoes, and Italian seasoning to the crockpot. Stir well.
  4. Combine the refrigerated tortellini gently with other ingredients.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 180-240 minutes or high for 90-120 minutes.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and mozzarella cheese about 30 minutes before serving until creamy.
