Instructions
- Brown the Italian sausage in a skillet over medium heat until nicely cooked and browned.
- Drain excess grease, then transfer the sausage to your crockpot.
- Add chicken broth, diced tomatoes, and Italian seasoning to the crockpot. Stir well.
- Combine the refrigerated tortellini gently with other ingredients.
- Cover and cook on low for 180-240 minutes or high for 90-120 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream and mozzarella cheese about 30 minutes before serving until creamy.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste and garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired.
