Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb chicken breasts
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Start by placing the chicken breasts in the bottom of your crock pot.
- Add the minced garlic, diced onion, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the chicken broth over everything, ensuring the chicken is well-covered.
- Cover and set your crock pot to cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Once the cooking time is up, shred the chicken using two forks right in the pot.
- Pour in the heavy cream and sprinkle in the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and creamy.
- Serve warm, garnished with freshly chopped parsley, and enjoy alongside some crusty bread.
Notes
For a deeper flavor, sauté the onion and garlic in olive oil before adding them to the crock pot. Customize with veggies like spinach or mushrooms, and adjust the consistency with broth if too thick.
