- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Optional: herbs (like oregano or thyme)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Combine the sourdough discard and all-purpose flour in a mixing bowl.
- Add the shredded cheese, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness.
- Slice the dough into sticks or strips.
- Arrange the breadsticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Sprinkle additional cheese and herbs on top if desired.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
