Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Lemon zest or red pepper flakes for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Rinse and trim the green beans, removing any tough ends.
  3. Combine the green beans with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Toss to coat them evenly.
  4. Spread the green beans out in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  5. Roast in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until the beans are tender and crispy.
  6. Take the pan out of the oven and sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the beans.
  7. Return to the oven for an additional 2-3 minutes to let the cheese melt.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with lemon zest or red pepper flakes, if desired.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add in crushed red pepper flakes. Experiment with different cheeses for added flavor.
