Description

Delicious crab cakes with crispy cheddar flavor for any occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb lump crab meat
  • 1 cup crushed crackers
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • Chopped parsley (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Mixture by gently folding the lump crab meat with the crushed crackers, shredded cheddar, mayonnaise, egg, green onions, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  2. Form the Cakes into patties about 3 inches in diameter and 1 inch thick.
  3. Chill the Patties on a parchment-lined baking sheet, covered with plastic wrap, for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Heat the Oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  5. Fry the Crab Cakes in batches for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Drain and Serve on a plate lined with paper towels alongside lemon wedges.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days or freeze uncooked patties.
