Description

A luxurious blend of creamy cheesecake and a crispy caramelized sugar topping, inspired by the classic French dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for caramelizing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325ยฐF (160ยฐC).
  2. Combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter in a bowl. Mix well and press the mixture into the bottom of a springform pan to create your crust.
  3. Beat the softened cream cheese and sugar in a large mixing bowl until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add the eggs one by one, mixing well after each addition. Then stir in the vanilla extract and heavy cream until fully blended.
  5. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust in the springform pan, spreading it evenly.
  6. Bake in your preheated oven for about 60 minutes, or until the center is set but still has a slight jiggle.
  7. Allow the cheesecake to cool, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for best results.
  8. Sprinkle a thin layer of granulated sugar on top. Using a kitchen torch, caramelize the sugar until it forms a crispy shell.
  9. Slice your cheesecake and serve it cold, presenting those beautiful layers for a delightful dessert.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Caramelize the sugar layer just before serving to maintain its crunch.
