Description

A rich and velvety tomato sauce that transforms any pasta into a comforting meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups canned crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish
  • Pasta of your choice

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream, followed by the salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if you’re using them.
  5. Allow the sauce to cook for 5-7 minutes, letting it thicken slightly.
  6. Toss the sauce with your cooked pasta until well combined.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil leaves for that extra touch!

Notes

For a healthier twist, substitute half of the heavy cream with low-fat yogurt or pureed cauliflower. Store leftovers in airtight containers for up to three days in the refrigerator.
